Lawrence University Online Bookstore

Students purchase course books and materials from the Lawrence University Online Bookstore, operated in partnership with Akadémos. The Lawrence University Online Bookstore, powered by TextbookX, offers:

  • An average savings of 60% off list price when shopping the marketplace
  • Free shipping on select orders over $49
  • Price match guarantee on new books
  • Year-round online buyback where you name the price

Log in with your Lawrence network ID and password, and you’ll see courses you registered for and the materials they require. You’ll find options for new, used, rental, or eBooks, as well as a marketplace with third-party sellers and books for sale by students. These options should give you significant savings, and there is no Lawrence mark-up to add to the cost. You can charge books to your student account and pick them up at the mail room in the campus center. You can also sell your used books on the bookstore website.

Course reserves in the library

Instructors put readings on electronic reserve for use in their courses.  They may also put books, audio-recordings, and videos on the reserve shelf behind the circulation desk in Mudd Library.  To find reserves for a course, go to the Mudd Library website and click Log In Before Searching Course Reserves.

Many instructors make resources available on Canvas.  Check the course syllabus for more information.
