  • Partisan Primary Election - Tuesday, August 9, 2022
  • General Election - Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Voter Registration

For students living on campus in Appleton, Lawrence works closely with the Appleton City Clerk’s Office to provide proof of residence so that all students who are eligible to register and vote in Wisconsin are able to do so. 

If you still need to register to vote you can register at the polls. You will be able to vote immediately after completing registration.  Be sure to bring your Voter ID. If you live on campus, Lawrence has provided your proof of residence to the City Clerk’s Office.

We encourage all students in Wisconsin to visit myvote.wi.gov to confirm they are registered to vote in Wisconsin.

Students not living in Wisconsin should contact their local City Clerk for information on registration and voting.

Escorts to the Campus Polling Location

If you would like someone to go with you to the polls to register/vote please escorts will be available.  You can come to the Warch Campus Center Info Desk anytime between 7am until polls close and a campus volunteer will be available to walk with you to the polling location.

Voter IDs

Wisconsin law currently requires you to have a voter ID on election day in order to cast a ballot. A Wisconsin driver's license, U.S. passport, or military ID is acceptable. Your Lawrence student ID is not.

If you do not have a Wisconsin driver's license or a passport, you can obtain a Lawrence voter ID card from the ID Office (Warch Campus Center main level) at no charge. 

Remember: If you get an LU voter ID, please hold on to it! It will be valid for two years (the expiration date will be printed on the card).
