The Office of Residential Education and Housing is part of the Division of Student Life. We work with the approximately 1,400 residents on campus.

Our staff is responsible for the general operations of the residence halls and houses on campus. The Residence Hall Directors (RHDs), Community Advisors (CAs), and Residence Life Managers (RLMs) play an integral role in the development of a meaningful living and learning environment here on campus.

Residence Hall Directors

Each residence hall has a professional Residence Hall Director with a special interest and training in residence education. The Residence Hall Director oversees the general day-to-day operations of the hall, supervises the Community Advisors (CAs), works closely with residents within the hall and Hall Forums to plan programs and activities for the hall, and is available for help with personal problems that may arise throughout the year. The Residence Hall Director lives in the apartment on the main floor of each of the halls in order to be accessible and available. Residence Hall Directors also serve the university in another capacity outside their halls, working in collateral assignments in a number of student-focused departments.
