Lawrene has two guest houses for visiting faculty/staff and visitors and a community space for meetings and other functions for campus groups. 

The guest houses located on North Park Street were built in the 1890s by original Appleton residents and were purchased by Lawrence University in the 1970s. These spaces have been used to accommodate faculty and staff from around the US.

Please submit requests for guest housing using this form. Please note that guest housing for EAA AirVenture attendees can not be accommodated for 2024.

Reservations

Reservations are made on a first-come basis, however, top priority is given to those that have an affiliation with Lawrence University. Reservations for private stays (i.e., alumni, parents of students, etc.) are not accepted more than 14 days prior to the date of arrival.

Rates

Guest housing rates are $70 per night.

Starting in 2024, the guest house rates are changing from $60 to $70 per night. Payments can be made via credit card over the phone at 920-832-6839 or via cash, check, or credit card in person during key pickup at the Info Desk in the Warch Campus Center.

Arrivals & Departures

Keys

Two keys are issued to guests: one key will be for the front door of the house, and the other key is for their assigned room. 

Check-in
Check-in time is at 3:00 p.m. Coordinated through the Office of Auxiliary Services, keys must be picked up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Keys can be picked up either through the host department or at the Info Desk in the Warch Campus Center. Guests arriving after hours or on weekends must contact Campus Safety at (920) 832-6999 to access the house and pick up keys.

Check-out
Check out time is at 10:00 a.m. When checking out, keys should be dropped in the Key Drop Box located in the hallway of the guest house. Loss of keys will be charged after your stay.

Please notify the Office of Auxiliary Services if your arrival or departure time will be different than the times above.

Parking

Guests of the house may park in the University parking lot on the corner of Washington Street and North Park Avenue (Shattuck lot), which is a short distance away. A temporary parking permit is provided free of charge for the convenience of our guests. Please notify us at the time of your reservations if you will be needing a parking permit.

Overnight parking is NOT available on any Appleton City street and will be ticketed by the City of Appleton.
