Services

Custodians

The Facilities Operations office is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of university buildings. Custodians clean public areas, report damages, and handle routine maintenance requests. Students should report problems as soon as possible to the desk clerk, building custodian, Community Advisor (CA), or Area Coordinator (AC) for prompt attention. Faculty and staff should contact the building secretary or the Facilities Operations office directly.

Maintenance

Building maintenance requests and repair needs are addressed on a priority basis. The Facilities Operations office determines the urgency of each need or job request as it comes in; repairs requiring immediate action such as plumbing leaks or electrical shorts are given attention first. Requests for new projects such as the construction of shelving units or replacement of light fixtures are evaluated in the context of ongoing work and the availability of staff in that area.

Work Orders

Work orders are created for all maintenance job requests. Either complete the online Work Order Request Form and submit it to Facilities Operations or contact Facilities Operations at 920-832-6602, email: facilityservices@lawrence.edu.
