Requirements / Eligibility

• Your vehicle must be registered on Voyager in order to participate in the lottery for 24-hour parking spaces.
• Vehicles must be registered by the Thursday of week 9, or by the last Thursday in July for Fall term. • Students with two or more parking tickets issued in the previous term will not be eligible for the lottery. |

Timeline
|
|
• The lottery is run a few weeks prior to the start of the term.
• Vehicles must be registered by the Thursday of week 9, or by the last Thursday in July for Fall term. • There is a 1-2 day lag required between registering your vehicle and signing up for the lottery. Registering your vehicle and signing up for the lottery are separate steps.
• Lottery signup closes at 10pm the Sunday before the drawing.
• Lottery draw day is first Monday of August for Fall term, and the Monday of week 10 for Winter and Spring terms. • Medical/Physical Lottery Override requests should be sent to the Dean of Students office by noon on the Wednesday before the lottery draw day (Wednesday of Week 9). |

Medical/Physical Lottery Override Requests
|
|
• 24-hour parking spaces may be assigned to students with physical disabilities or medical needs.
• Each student requesting a medical exemption must submit a written request in advance of the lottery.). • A statement from the student's doctor confirming the need for the exemption from the lottery must accompany this request. • Medical/Physical Lottery Override requests should be sent to the Dean of Students office by noon on the Wednesday before the lottery draw day (Wednesday of Week 9) • Lottery override for medical or physical need does not guarantee a spot in the lot of your choice. • Short term medical parking accommodation requiring official handicap parking should be acquired from your medical provider |

Lottery Spot Winner & Associated Fee
|
|
• After students with medical and ability centered needs have been accommodated, the remaining spaces will be given to students by lottery drawn by seniority.
• There will be a $75 per term fee for students who obtain a lottery spot. Lottery parking fees are charged to your student account. • Parking fees are used to defray costs of parking enforcement. • Winners will be notified in writing via email that they have won a parking spot, and the communication will indicate the term that they are allowed to use 24-hour student parking. • A SEPARATE & ADDITIONAL PARKING STICKER WITH EITHER 1,2, OR 3 ON IT WILL BE GIVEN TO THE STUDENT VIA THEIR CAMPUS SPC BOX. The numeric indicator corresponds to the term that the vehicle may be parked in a 24-hour Student Lot. This sticker should be placed directly next to your vehicle registration sticker. o 1=FALL TERM o 2=WINTER TERM o 3=SPRING TERM • The lottery sticker is an item of value. DO NOT LOSE YOUR LOTTERY STICKER. Additional fees or non-replacement may be the penalty for lost lottery stickers. • Parking lottery spots are not transferrable |

Not winning a Lottery Spot & Waitlist Status
|
|
• Individuals who do not win a 24-hour student lottery spot will be added to a waiting list on a first come, first serve basis. Openings shall be filled from those people on the waiting list, following seniority and the lottery number priorities, at the beginning of each term.
