The calculations performed by this tool are based on the text on sabbaticals found in the Faculty Handbook and on the timelines of standard tenure-track faculty contracts. The calculator is intended to provide faculty with a guide for their development plans before and after tenure but it is not a substitute for the discussions with the Dean of the Faculty that are required for the timing and approval of all faculty sabbaticals.
If you are a tenure-track faculty member on a standard timeline, you may calculate your sabbaticals using the first tool. Tenured faculty and tenure-track faculty on varying timelines may use the second tool. The third tool serves as a guide to faculty who have, with the Dean of the Faculty, negotiated a particular first date of sabbatical eligibility.
