Assessment of student learning generates feedback to strengthen the academic program. All faculty participate in assessing learning outcomes for the general education requirements while department or program faculty assess outcomes specific to the major. Findings are used to improve curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Assessment reports play an important role in institutional planning and reaccreditation.
