Join oboe professor Nora Lewis and bassoon professor Carl Rath in a day devoted to double reed performance!

  • Observe and perform in master classes
  • Receive guidance and suggestions before you play at State Contest
  • Learn principles of reed making and adjustment
  • Enjoy the unique sonic experiences of oboe, bassoon, and other double reed ensembles
  • Meet other oboists and bassoonists
  • Visit Miller Marketing, a leading vendor of double reed instruments, accessories, and reed-making supplies

All events are in the beautiful Shattuck Hall on the Lawrence University campus. Open to all students in grades 9–12.

Double Reed Day is a free event and includes lunch in Andrew Commons
